will be performing a 30 minute concert of music from the Golden Era
of the mandolin. Music by Marucelli, Calace, Morelli, Palumbo, Persichini,
Rota and Di Capua. The San Diego Italian Film Festival (SDIFF) ambitious
goal is to make San Diego a high spot for Italian culture. SDIFF want
to share Italian culture through the movies they bring directly from Italy
– great, award-winning, recent (with English subtitles), all with interesting
stories of relationships, love, hate, work, food, identity, all the passions

Orchestra "Christmas String Dance" Chris Acquavella
will be joining the Encinitas Guitar Orchestra again as artist in residence
for their 2012 Christmas show. The sound (timbre) of 20 or more guitars
can be likened to a giant harp. In a live performance you will hear a
heightened sense of the beauty and camaraderie of musicians sharing music

an exciting Latin Themed concert for their 3rd season. This vibrant ensemble
is performing original plucked string orchestra repertoire by Paci, Zambrano,
Behrend, Paulo Sa as well as arrangements of Gianneo & Piazzolla.
This concert is a warm up concert for NEMO's March 9th & 10th events

10th Annual Mandolin Symposium
with David Grisman & Mike Marshall, Santa Cruz CA. Chris
Acquavella will be teaching the classical mandolin course, along with
German virtuoso, Caterina Litchenberg. Chris will also be conducting the
classical ensemble as well as performing a solo concert. This is one of
the best mandolin experiences in the USA. I recommend all mandolinists

& talented, Mari Fe Pavon, will be presenting an evening concert of
mandolin & piano repertoire from the baroque to contemporary periods.
Mari Fe Pavon is one of the most talented, virtuosic mandolinists in the
world. Also programmed on this concert is the SDCMC Ensemble. As part
of the final night of the San Diego Classical Mandolin Camp, the ensemble

of America Annual Convention, Regina Canada. Chris Acquavella
will be performing, teaching two workshops, leading mandolin sectionals
for En Mass Orchestra as well as instructing the pre-convention, Technique
& Teachers Workshop. The CMSA Convention is a wonderful place to meet
fellow mandolinists and learn from professional musicians from around
the world, in a relaxed and fun environment. Chris Acquavella will be
performing with fantastic German mandolinist, Dr. Stefanie Rauch. Duo
Acquavella/Rauch will perform two concerts during the convention. Duo
Acquavella/Rauch is a new exciting ensemble for Chris. It is a chance

for the San Diego Museum of Man. Join artists Chris Acquavella
(mandolin), Eric Foster (guitar) and Hope Carlson (soprano) for a musical

Faure, Handel, Mozart, Villa-Lobos, and others. Old favorites and new
melodies will unfold in the exquisite acoustical setting of the intimate
