Diego Symphony "Jacobs Masterworks Concert". For the
San Diego Symphony's opening concert, they have invited today's most acclaimed
French pianist Jean-Yves Thibaudet for a rare duo of Maurice Ravel piano
masterworks. Music Director Jahja Ling opens and closes the concert with
vivid impressions of the Eternal City from two different masters of orchestral
color, Hector Berlioz and Ottorino Respighi. Chris will be performing
mandolin on Respighi's Roman Festival. Jahja Ling, conductor and Jean-Yves

Music will range from baroque to contemporary periods, performed on baroque and modern instruments, using period techniques. Music by O'Carolan, Sauli, Denis, Calace, Persichini, Munoz, Kioulaphides, Ochi. This will be a 1 hour concert with a "meet the artist" reception after.
